Patricia M. Vandewark

It is with great regret that I announce the passing of my wonderful, lovely wife Patricia M. Vandewark, 85, of Washington, Utah. She passed away at home on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025 due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born in Jamestown, NY on Sept. 25, 1940, to Sandy Volpe and Rose M. Giordano. She married fellow classmate Keith H. Vandewark 57 years ago on Dec. 14, 1968. Pat graduated from Jamestown High School in 1958 and attended Jamestown Community College.

She worked in human resources at Weber Knapp Company for 33 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling (especially National Parks), and volunteering. Since we moved to Utah in 2005, she has volunteered for 10 different events or organizations and received an award in 2022 as Outstanding Volunteer by AARP of Utah.

Beside myself, she is survived by her sister, Rosalee Waid (companion, Richard Kennedy), brother, Sandy Volpe, Jr. (Shannon), niece Reagan Volpe and nephew Kian Volpe of Jamestown, niece Vicki Sykora of Watkinsville, GA, and nephew Jack Gustafson (Kimberly) of Frederick MD.

Visitation in Utah is planned from 9AM to 10AM Wednesday Dec. 31.2025 with funeral services following. A celebration of life will be held in Jamestown in late June.
