Pastor Ronald E. Houghton Sr.

Pastor Ronald E. Houghton Sr., 82, of Clymer went to be with his Lord and Savior and welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, with his family by his side.

He was born Jan. 6, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Guy and Iola “Penny” Bullock Houghton.

Ron attended Mayville High School and was employed by the City of Jamestown DPW for 30 years before retiring in 1996. He also pastored God’s Country Chapel in Clymer from 1985 to 2009.

Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog Miss Molly, reading his daily devotionals, wood workmanship, lawn care, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving is a sister, Rebecca “Becky” Perry of California; eight children: Ronald E. Houghton Jr. of Jamestown, Deborah Carlson of Kennedy, Tina (Cory) Lisciandro of Jamestown, Stacey Houghton of Corry, PA, Laura (Jim) Nilson of Falconer, Amy (Victor) Rex of Westfield, Kimberly (Paul) Parker of Corry, PA, Nicole (Mitchell) Robinson of Sikeston, MO; 15 grandchildren: Amanda(Jess)Hamrick, Matt Hamrick, Becky(Jay)Hamrick, Brandon(Courtney) Lisciandro, Brad Lisciandro, Brianna Lisciandro, Ryan Nilson, Dylan Nilson, Christian Rex, Ashton Rex, Teanna Ross, Mckenize Parker, Tyler Parker, Kendra Houghton, Micheal Houghton; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Threva Jennie Houghton, whom he married, Aug. 6, 1961, who died Jan. 23, 2010; a brother, Robert Houghton; and three sisters: Debbie Houghton, Kathleen Fontana, and Wendy Emke.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Penhollow will officiate. Burial will be in Clymer Harmony Townline Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
