Katherine L. Thies, 85, of Perrysburg, New York died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born May 23, 1940. She was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Crager) Noble. She married William J. Thies on July 26, 1958. They were married for 67 years. Together they had four children: Richard (Marcia Kent) Thies of Falconer, NY, Jane (Daniel) Sprague of Perrysburg, NY, Cheryl (Stephen) Crouse or South Dayton, NY and Emily (Eric Buskist) Mongillo of Springville, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Andrew (Carrie), Matthew (Holly) and John Thies, Melissa (Alex Hedges) Sprague and Daniel (Michele) Sprague, Jr., Sheila and Sarah Crouse and Samuel Mongillo.
She was the great grandmother of Michaela and Kylee Sprague, Thomas and Forest Thies.
She was the sister of Robert (Sandy) Noble of North East, PA and the late John, Richard and William Noble.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Kathy enjoyed camping, boating and traveling around the country. She served in the lunchroom of the Gowanda Central School where she will be remembered for her delicious desserts. Kathy was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Stars. A private service was held by the family and burial was held at the Webster Road Cemetery.
