Joseph L. Loverme

Joe was employed at the Jamestown Post Office as a letter carrier from 1968 until retiring in 2000. He served as president of NALC union branch number 165 for many years. He also served on National NALC committees, as well as serving with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

He helped organize the band US Express which played at many local clubs and events. After retiring to Zephyrhills, FL in 2001 he started a two man group, the LP’S. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family weekends on the boat. He also enjoyed golfing and playing his electric and steel guitar.

Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy, their children, Kristine (Fredrick) Rulander, Joseph (Mary Ann) Loverme Jr. Grandchildren, Ryan (Adrian) Rulander, Kyle (Jacklyn) Rulander, Brandon (Destani Graves) Rulander and Karissa (Hunter) West, Kaitlyn (Sean) Conley, Justin (Tarah Bowman) Loverme, and Trevor Loverme.

Great grandchildren, Logan Starnes, Raylee Rulander, Wyatt Rulander, Mia Rulander, Evalyn West, Isabella and Landon Conley.

His brother, Frank Loverme Jr, and his sister, Shirley (James) Smith.

Nieces, Kimberly Tedquist, Kara Connon, Linda Edwards, Karen Edwards, and grand niece, Madison Edwards.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mazie Loverme.
