Jacqueline A. Lawrence
Jacqueline A. “Jackie” Lawrence, 80, of Kennedy, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 in UPMC Chautauqua after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 3, 1945 Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late Gaylord M. and Twila Mennetti Smith Sr.
In earlier years, Jackie was employed by the former Ponderosa, Murphy’s Dept. Store, Frewsburg Hotel, and The Loft. Prior to retirement, she was employed by M & M Smoke Shop in Steamburg.
Jackie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking long rides through Amish country, traveling and crocheting. She loved bird watching, and feeding the squirrels in the park. Her favorite thing was going to the Casino trying her luck, she played to the end. She was a former member of the Henry Mosher Post 638 Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving is her husband, Richard A. Lawrence whom she married Dec. 28, 1974 in Celoron; two daughters: Marilyn Pollaro-Piscitelli and Tammy Raynor both of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Patrick Passanise, Justin Passanise, Donald Martin, Jolene Pollaro (Jorge); 13 great grandchildren; a sister Jonelle Johnson of Salamanca. Several niece’s and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Christopher Deyell and Darby Martin; two brothers: Gaylord M. “Butch” Smith Jr. and Randy “Rubbs” Smith. A niece Louann Johnson-Ream, and nephew David Johnson.
As per Jackie’s wished no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
