Craig G. Nelson

Born Jan. 21, 1953, in Jamestown, he was the son of the late Neil and Joan Anderson Nelson.

He was a Vietnam War veteran of the US Navy serving from 1974-1986.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the United State Postal Service as a letter carrier in Jamestown and earlier had a rural route in Kennedy.

He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles Club and Allen Park Men’s Club.

Surviving is his wife, Shelly Loyd Nelson, whom he married Dec. 30, 1981; three children, Sarah Nelson of Wisconsin and James (Holly) Nelson and Dawn Nelson both of Jamestown; and two granddaughters, Olivia and Nora Nelson.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Nelson and a special uncle, Gary “Butch” Anderson.

In keeping with Craig’s wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
