Carol Koser Diemer, 82, of Lakewood, NY died peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025.

A lifelong area resident, Carol was born on March 9, 1943 in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of Leroy R. and Bernice A. Koser.

A graduate of Jamestown High School, Jamestown Community College and Fredonia State University, Carol spent her working years as a teacher in the Jamestown Public School system. Most of her thirty-year career was spent teaching third grade in Room 10 of Bush School. Carol was a born teacher who was patient, caring and engaged. Her students were very important to her and she remembered most of them by name long after they had left her classroom. Every year she helped her students make Easter bunnies and when former students ran into her in later years, most of them remembered that experience, and her, fondly.

Carol had a large group of friends, some of whom went back to her childhood. She enjoyed getting together with them as often as possible and especially loved her Bunco, Mah Jong and Domino groups. She enjoyed games and was a stickler for knowing and following the rules and making sure others did the same. Her friends were very important to Carol and she treasured her relationships with them.

Carol’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life and she never missed an opportunity to support them in all of their varied endeavors, be they sports, academics, hobbies or artistic pursuits. She was always showing up for them and cheering them on and loved nothing more than seeing them happily engaged in something that mattered to them. Carol’s love and unconditional support of her friends and family were unwavering. She would not hear or conceive of anything negative about any of her loved ones. She couldn’t stand for anyone she loved to be criticized; in her eyes, we were all perfect.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Robin (Don) Ross and Becky (Randy) Chase, her grandson, Alex (Kaitlyn) Froman, her granddaughter, Chelsea (Alyssa) Froman, great-grandchildren Kori, Allison, Grayson, Callen, and Kaia, brothers Roy Koser of Jamestown, NY, Dennis (Araine) Koser of Bluffton, SC, and Dan (Denise) Koser of Canton, NY and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Claude “Butch” Diemer who died on October 19, 2014.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Cathy Smith will officiate.

The family will receive from 12 p. to 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home and share memories, honoring Carol’s life so beautifully lived and a soul so deeply loved.
