Beverly Grobaski

Beverly Grobaski

Beverly passed away pacefully in her sleep on Dec. 7, 2025, after a long and inspiring battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Jamestown, NY, Beverly lived there until 2023, when she and her husband, Michael, moved to Johnstown, Colorado, to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

The move was no surprise to anyone who knew her, as she devoted her life to noble causes: nurturing and teaching children. Whether it was her three sons, her nine grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, their children, or the kids in her preschool, kindergarten, first grade, or Sunday School classrooms, Bev always cared for the little ones. Beverly was a proud member of the Jamestown High School Class of 1967 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from SUNY Geneseo. After dedicating eleven years to being a full-time mother, she launched her career in teaching spanning four decades. During this time, she earned a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Fredonia and taught for 26 years at Holy Family Catholic School, where her passion flourished and earned her the distinguished St. Thomas Aquinas Award in 2012.

She spent countless hours at hockey rinks, baseball fields, gymnasiums, and soccer fields encouraging the child she was there to watch. She always had toys and books in either a basket in her home or her purse when she was out. She would not hesitate to get down on the floor to play, sing, read, or pray with the kids. The amount of time she would happily spend with children was endless.

She enjoyed creating delicious meals for as many people who would stay to eat. There was always more than anyone could want, with spirited conversation and laughter. She would happily hold a tired child while dancing or swaying and singing softly, until one or both of them was asleep. No matter her age, location, or level of exhaustion, she made time for everyone.

Bev counted all of her interactions with everyone she met as blessings. She cherished time with close friends and family. Bev was an incredibly caring and faithful person, praying the rosary every day for so many people. She was preceded in death by her parents, James J. and Providence Caronia and her brother, David Caronia. She is survived by her husband, Michael J.; her older brother, James R. Caronia (Susan); her boys and their families: Michael R. (Tracey, children Caden, Noah, and Emma), Jeffrey (Jessica, children Mason, Finley, Riley and Alana), and Thomas (Samantha, children Quinn and Everly); her brother and sisters-in-law; as well as her nieces and nephews and their children, whom she cherished.

Beverly Grobaski, wife, mom, aunt, grandma, teacher and friend will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor, Colorado on Monday, Dec. 15 following an 11 am memorial service at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. There will be visitation during a Rosary Service at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 pm.
