William Snyder
Bill Snyder passed after a long battle with cancer and other health issues, at the age of 70.
He was a lifelong resident of the Jamestown, NY, area with extended stays in Arizona.
He was wild; he was mysterious; he saw the world by way of his thumb. He was a Pirate; he was a “Hippie”. There was nobody quite like him.
He was the son of Edward and Anne (Fitzpatrick) Snyder. He leaves behind sisters, Mary Benanati, Sandy (Ken) McChesney, nieces Luella (Mark) Rogers, Marilyn (Thao) Cook, Janelle (Dean) Krueger, Tammie Nelson, Tricia (Burke) Baker, Pennie (Steve) Myers, and nephews Mike (Michelle) Rothra, Brian Nelson, Phil (Mary) McChesney, and Tyler McChesney, as well as several great nieces and nephews and two daughters. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Anne (Ace) Acel and Katherine (Virg) Rothra.
Burial will be at Cassadaga Cemetery on Monday Nov. 3, 2025 at 11 am. Family and friends are welcomed to come and pay their respects. No formal service will be provided.
