Sherrie A. Cline

Sherrie A. Cline, 52, of Frewsburg, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025 in UPMC Chautauqua surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

A lifelong area resident, she was born on February 21, 1973 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late William F. and Sueann M. Peiffer Britton.

She was a 1992 graduate of Chautauqua Central School and soon after was enrolled in the nursing program at BOCES.

For many years, she worked as a bus nurse aide for Frewsburg Central School.

Sherrie enjoyed camping, crocheting, and will be remembered for her love for her great nieces and nephews who thought of her as “grandma.”

Sherrie is survived by her son, Jacob Britton; her sisters, Stacey (Troy) Davenport and Melissa (Scott) Hultberg; her brother, William “Billy” (Ashley) Britton; her lifetime partner, David Cline; 14 nieces and nephews: Karrie (Eric) Kelsey, Alisha (Shyheme) Kelsey, Cody (Darla) Kelsey, Ryan (Tehya) Britton, Mazie (Mike) Stahl, Zachery (Jenna) Britton, Tyler Hultberg, Dakota Hultberg, Cassie (Levi) Sheldon, Derrick Davenport, Hunter Brown, Logan Brown, Roman Brown, Camdyn Brown; 12 great-nieces and nephews: Riley Samuelson, Emma Samuelson, Brooklyn Kelsey, Jayden Wiggins, Karter Wiggins, Olivia Kelsey, Willow Britton, McKenna Stahl, Madilyn Stahl, Addison Britton, Harper Britton, and Evelyn Britton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-niece, McKynlee Stahl.

A celebration of life will be held from 2-6 pm on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025 at the Frewsburg Fireman’s Blue Building, 25 Hazzard St., Frewsburg. Burial will be in Ivory Cemetery.
