Sheldon C. Anderson

A lifelong resident of Frewsburg, he was born on March 27, 1941 in Jamestown, a son of the late Herbert and Selma Dahlquist Anderson.

He attended Frewsburg Central School.

Sheldon was employed at Master Carvers and Fancher Chair for many years, retiring at the age of 80 from Fancher Chair. He worked as an expert carver for many years, but had a passion for collecting model cars and tractors. A hobby that will now be enjoyed by his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Shellie (Kathlene) Anderson, Darlene (Ray) Lingenfelter, Billie Jo (Rob) Lingenfelter, John (Kate) Anderson; ten grandchildren: Kristy, Kyle, Lynnette, Robbie, Alex, Katelyn, Matt, Mindi, Mitch, Melissa; several great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Dolly Mardock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Cavallaro Anderson, who passed away on Oct. 28, 1998, and his four brothers.

In keeping with Sheldon’s wishes no service or visitation will be observed.
