Rose M. Angilella
Rose Marie Angilella, 84, of Longs, SC, formerly of Jamestown passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2025 in Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Rose Marie was born March 2, 1941 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Sam and Josephine DeVita Bondi.
She was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Business College.
In earlier years, Rose Marie was employed by Royal Metal Corporation, was an Executive Secretary to the President of AVM Corporation, served as Court Clerk in Little Valley, NY. She was a demo presenter at Wegmans in Rochester and a sales representative at Mongillo’s Jewelry Store, Salamanca, NY. Rose Marie served as photographer at Aberdeen Country Club in Longs, SC.
Rose Marie was a fantastic golfer. A sport she loved dearly. She was so very proud when she won the Ladies League Championship at Long Bay Country Club, Longs, SC.
Rose Marie is survived by her sister, Marlene (Kevin) Nelson of Longs, SC. Brothers-in-law, Patsy Landy, Robert Angilella, Anthony (Diane) Angilella, Michael (Ursula) Angilella. In addition, she has many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Rose Marie did not have children, but was a “Mom” to many.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Angilella, the love of her life whom she married May 20, 1967, in Jamestown, who died Sept. 12, 2015; and her sister, Kathleen E. Landy, on March 21, 2023.
Ro will be remembered for her smile and charm that would light up every room she entered. She brought love, laughter, and warmth to everyone she met. We will all miss her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 in St. John’s Catholic Church, 270 Newton St., Jamestown. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
