Kenneth M. “Ken” Roberts Sr.

He was born on March 2, 1938 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Charles and Isabelle (Durlin) Roberts. On July 5, 1965 he married the love of his life the former Jennie M. Turzillo in Mexico and together they raised four children.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jennie Roberts; three loving children, JoAnn Roberts of Jamestown, NY, Tina (Bob) Evans of Dewittville, NY and Kenneth (Susan) Roberts Jr. of Portland, NY; seven cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Fran) and Michael (Sara) Evans, Christina Logel, Jeremy (Amanda) Evans, Meghan (Anthony) DiBenedetto, Madelyn Roberts and Hunter Evans; three great grandchildren, Elliott, Olivia and Chase Evans; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Mary Ann Roberts, two sisters, Barbara Walker and Margaret Reichard, two brothers, Charles and Gary Roberts.

Ken graduated from Falconer High School in 1956. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force from July 6, 1956 – July 10, 1960. He worked at SKF in Falconer as a machinist retiring in 2003 after 22 years of service. He also was an accomplished mechanic on large machinery bulldozers, cranes and excavators. He could fix anything.

Ken’s world revolved around his family, he devoted his entire life to taking care of them. He loved animals and enjoyed his canine companions Samantha and Marley.

As per Ken’s wishes services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY. The family suggests memorial contributions in Ken’s honor to the local SPCA. Please share online condolences to www.masonfuneral.com.
