Dana Ross Bolles of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Sept. 16, 2025. He was born in Jamestown, New York on Dec. 27, 1947, to Harry and Gladys Sine Bolles, the oldest of four children.
Dana graduated from Southwestern Central High School in 1966. He attended Jamestown Community College and Career Academy of Broadcasting in Washington D.C. In 1969, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he serves for four years. He graduated with a B.A. in communications from Southern Colorado State in 1973.
Dana lived in Colorado Springs as he pursued a career in radio broadcasting. In 1985, he relocated his family to Erie, Pennsylvania to accept the position of Morning Drive personality / Program Director for the launch of Classy 100. One year after launch the station was selected the Medium Market Station of the year runner up.
Dana loved to golf, to cook for his family and root for the Denver Broncos.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Giordano; his daughter, Whitney Bolles; and a niece, Cassandra Swineford.
Dana is survived by his wife of 54 years, Celeste Windoft Bolles, Beavercreek, Ohio; his son, Jeffrey (Jessica) Beavercreek, Ohio; three grandchildren, Quinten Richard and Lydia Allison children of Jessica and Jeffrey, Abigail Elizabeth, daughter of the late Whitney Bolles. Two sisters, Gayla Swartzman (Donald) Jamestown, New York and Carla Swineford (Gary Bell) Ashville, New York.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in the near future. Dana loved plants, to remember him plant something new in your lawn or garden this spring.
