Brian J. Stein

Brian J. Stein

Brian J. Stein, 44, of Jamestown, passed away following a sudden cardiac event at St. Vincent Hospital on Nov. 17, 2025. He was born in Canton, Ohio on July 21, 1981, to Clark and Nancy Hodapp Stein.

A man filled with love, devotion, and pride, Brian adored his entire family. While he loved being an uncle as much as a dad, Brian exuded such joy in pursuing life as a husband. Marrying into a large family only caused his compassion to grow, doting on so many fortunate souls.

Brian was the very best dad, sharing his love of the outdoors with his daughter, Charlotte. So, too, he explored nature through endless mountain bike rides and enjoyed fishing.

As a spirit motivated by acts of service, Brian often gave through his love language of cooking. Whether it was with local restaurants or for his family at home, Brian filled tables with the most exquisite of cuisines.

Woodworking was a craft in which Brian excelled. His precision and artistry lent itself to beautiful works.

Anyone who knew him knew Brian’s irreverent sense of humor. His dry sarcasm flowed through endless conversations, forever keeping family and friends on their toes.

Brian will be dearly missed by the love of his life, Keyanna Robinson Stein; their two year old daughter, Charlotte Rose; their expected daughter due in February, Adeline; his parents, Nancy and Clark Stein; his brother, Adam (Brittany Medlin) Stein; his family in Ohio, Sheri, Lauren, and Abby Van Schuyver; his in-laws, Shad and Kathleen Robinson-Jewell; his father-in-law, Stanley Robinson; his siblings-in-law, Xavier (Stefi) Robinson, Chazz (Rylyn) Jewell, Jazzlin (Keith) Jewell, Lessro (Emily) Jewell, and Raelyn (Andrew) Delcamp; six nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; as well as Stein family in California and in Utah and extended family in Michigan. Brian had a church family he leaves behind who loved him very much. Profoundly, Brian and Keyanna had caring, lifelong friends who they always considered to be family.

The family will receive friends for a time of memorial visitation from 4-6 pm on Friday, Nov 28, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. The memorial service for Brian will be at 11am Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at First Covenant Church, Jamestown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s memory may be made to an established trust for his daughters, Charlotte and Adeline, accessible via local KeyBank branches.
