Timothy J. Collins

Timothy J. “Butch” Collins, 63, of Frewsburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

He was born on November 14, 1961, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Virgil and Jeanne (Shattuck) Collins.

Butch had a love for NASCAR, especially cheering on his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He also enjoyed shooting darts, building model cars, and reading comics. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family. His quick wit, sense of humor, and easygoing nature made him a joy to be around, and his presence will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his sister, Kimberly (George Lang) Hollingsworth; his nieces Lynn (Chuck) Hice, Lorena Roberts, Corrinna (Joseph) Lang, Misty (Jason Arthur) Roberts, and Kristal (Kegan Mack) Roberts; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, who all loved their Uncle Butch dearly.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mereah Byerly and Angie Harmon; his brother, JohnWayne Collins; and his brother-in-law, J.W. Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Lind Funeral Home, with Rev. Todd Blackley officiating. Family and friends will be received beginning at 12:30 p.m., prior to the service.

A reception will be held immediately following the service at the Ellery Rod & Gun Club, 4005 Pancake Hill Rd, Bemus Point.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701, in honor of Butch’s love for animals.
