Sally Ann Reed

Sally was the third born to Richard and Dorothy Skinner Snyder in Mansfield, NY. She grew up on the Pigeon Valley Road in Little Valley, NY, along with her siblings.

She married Richard Ehman of Ellicottville, NY in 1949 and had three children. She later married Eugene Milks of Little Valley, NY and had two more children.

In 1971, Sally moved to Virginia, where she was employed by the US Navy until her move to Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA. where she met and married “the love of her life,” Albert Reed of Lebanon, PA. in the late 70s and they were married in the early 80s. She worked for the Army National Guard until her retirement in 1995.

After retirement, Sally and Al move to Butte, Montana to live for a short period before returning to the Lebanon, PA area where she lived until Al’s passing in 2010. She then returned to Montana until 2024, whereupon she moved back to PA. to live with her daughter until her passing.

Sally loved reading with a passion which she passed on to her children. She also loved traveling and often traversed the world visiting her youngest daughter who was in the Air Force. She fiercely loved animals and supported many nonprofit animal rescues.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings: Donald, Nancy, Danna, Philip, and Kathy. She was also preceded in death by her husband and three children: Christine, William and Scott. She is survived by daughter, Lesley (Paul) Murphy of Milton, PA and daughter, Catherine (Julius) Bockheim of Randolph, NY, 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grand- children.

Services will be held in Butte, Montana at the convenience of the family. Donations in Sally’s memory may be made to an animal rescue of one’s choice.
