Philip M. Erickson

Philip “Phil” M. Erickson left this world to be with his LORD, on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025.

Phil was born on Nov. 25, 1942, in Columbus, OH, the eldest son of Kenny and Esther Erickson. Phil and his mother spent the war years between Gust and Christine Erickson and Gust and Anna Milton.

Phil graduated from the Manlius School, Manlius, N.Y., and Phil attended Jamestown Community College.

Phil was a Scout Master for Bemus Point Troop 137. He was actively involved with the Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Phil was a member of the Bemus Point United Methodist Church and he attended Little River United Methodist Church.

Phil was a manufacturer Rep for Crawford Furniture and Maddox Deck Company in Jamestown, N.Y. He also was a manufacturer Rep for Distinction Leather in Hickory, N.C for twenty-five plus years.

Phil is survived by his wife, Susan of fifty-three years; his son: Spencer (Stephanie) Erickson of Jamestown, N.Y.; three grandsons: Tanner, Alex and Logan; two granddaughters: Alexis Price and Laura “RaRa” Price of Minot, N.D.; a brother: John (Cheryl) Erickson of Victor, N.Y.; a nephew: Jack (Elizabeth) Erickson and a niece: Kate (Jake) Hall.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Department, 13 Alburtus Avenue, Bemus Point, N.Y. 14712.

A memorial service will be on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc., 316 E. 5th St., Jamestown, N.Y. at 4 PM. Family and friends may visit from 3-4PM prior to service. Pastor Mike Quimby, Worship Pastor at The Rock in Lakewood, N.Y. will officiate. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.
