Megan Ann Benish, born on Oct. 31, 1982, in Jamestown, New York, passed away unexpectedly in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sept. 29, 2025.
Megan was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Marilyn Stickney and Roberta Benish.
She is survived by her father, Richard Benish of Jamestown, NY; her mother, Barbara (Stickney) Benish of Parrish, Florida; and her sister, Kellie Benish of Bradenton, Florida. She is also survived by her loving life partner, Matthew Ballard; his son, Joshua Ballard; and her beloved dog, Piper.
Megan built a successful career in aviation, beginning in Bradenton, Florida, and later working at several airport locations across the country. Most recently, she served as a Conformity Specialist along with being the admin. assistant to the Director of Maintenance for the 135 at Palm Beach International airport with Jet Access, where her dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail earned her great respect among her colleagues.
Her career reflected her adventurous spirit and love to travel. She especially enjoyed visiting new places-Key West being one of her favorite destinations for peace and tranquility.
A devoted advocate for rescuing dogs, Megan was passionate about animal welfare and dedicated to giving rescue animals a second chance at life. Her kindness, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
Megan will be deeply missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched and the loves she shared.
