Larry A. Pickard

He was born on Feb. 14, 1945, the son of Arthur and Violet Pickard.

His graduation from Cassadaga Valley Central School was in 1963 and Grove City College in 1962.

He wrestled and played football for both. Larry was stationed at Ft. Bragg for his basic training. Following his military commitment, he was employed by the Army as a civilian computer expert Until his retirement in 1995. During those years he received several awards for evaluating and improving computer systems.

He spent time in Germany and Hawaii on special assignments.

Larry loved hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his Spyder motorcycle, and spending time with his family and friends. He was always involved in outdoor and indoor projects.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda (Brill) Morris of Jamestown, NY, a nephew, Doug (Theresa) Morris, of Jamestown, NY, and a niece, Sally (Mark) Hetrick of Bemus Point, Brent (Lauren) Morris of Kennedy, NY, Ryan Hetrick of Washington, D.C. and Shane Hetrick of Chapel Hill, NC. are surviving great nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Pickard, Mother, Violet Pickard and a brother, Donn Pickard.

At his request, no service will be observed.
