Diega Perfetto Cali Hurst, 87, passed away on Oct. 1, 2025, in Erie, PA. She was born on Oct. 30, 1937 in Canicatti Sicily.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Johnson; sons, Sam Cali of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Ross Cali (Shelly) of Westfield, NY; sister, Carmela Margaglio; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; along with 2 nephews and several cousins. Diega was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Grace Perfetto; daughter, Grace Spencer; son, Joe Cali; and her husbands, Ross Cali and Jack Hurst.
Diega enjoyed dancing, gardening, planting flowers and trips to the casino.
She was a devout member of St. James Parrish and St. Andrew’s in Lexington, TN.
A celebration of life will be held at St. James Parrish, 27 Allen St., Jamestown, NY, on Oct. 30, 2025, at 10 A.M. The service will be followed by a gathering in the church hall, where friends and family can share memories and celebrate Diega’s life.
