Dennis B. Ocoboc

Denny was born on March 29, 1946, the son of the late Kenneth and Clara Hagstrom Ocoboc.

Denny attended Jamestown High School, he then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and later he served in the Reserves. Following the service he earned an associate’s degree from Jamestown Community College.

Denny was a welder, he owned and operated Denny’s Welding, Jamestown, N.Y. He previously was a counselor at Cassadaga Job Corps and The Resource Center. Denny loved driving and he drove a limousine for many years and drove the CARTS bus. He enjoyed fishing in his earlier years.

Denny is survived by his daughter: Brenda (Scott) Wright of Kennedy, N.Y.; his son: Dean McKoon of Jamestown, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Alyssa Wright, MacKenzie Wright, Kaitlyn Krantz and Chance Boreck; one great-grandchild and a sister: Linda Ecker of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Denny is preceded in death by a sister: Judith Classon and a brother: Gerald Ocoboc.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-11 AM at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 E. 5th Street, Jamestown, N.Y. A military honor guard service will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Lakewood, N.Y.
