Charles Richard Taylor, 75, of Waxhaw, NC passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at home surrounded by family. He was born June 25, 1950 in Jamestown, NY, the son of late Chester Gordon Taylor and Lillian Dora Schumacher.
Charles had attended Jamestown High School. He enjoyed working as a mechanic at Reale Auto sales and working at Bush Industries in Jamestown, NY where he retired from. He enjoyed fixing and working on cars, spending time with family, teaching his grandchildren how to drive, and spending time with his dogs.
Charles is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Taylor of Waxhaw, NC; three siblings, including his twin brother, Chester B. (Gladys) Taylor S. of Frewsburg, NY, 12 grandchildren: Brett (Rebekah) Boughton of Waxhaw, NC, Ashley (Hampton) Stogner of Lancaster, SC; Jordan (Katie) Boughton of Lancaster, SC; Scott Cappadonia of Pageland, SC; Shawn Dunn of Waxhaw, NC; Destinie (Uriel) Cappadonia of Monroe, NC; Ciano Taylor of Jamestown, NY; Jayden Taylor of Bemus Point, NY; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his son, Charles Richard Taylor Jr.; daughter, Melody Ann Taylor; and son, Scott Taylor.
A celebration of life will held at a later date.
