Barbara Jennine Williams, 96, of 145 Chandler St., died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Bernard and Eleanor VanVleck Bucklaew.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Woolworths in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as manager and waitress.
Barb enjoyed knitting and playing games, but more than anything she loved spending time with family.
Surviving are five daughters: Mary Ann Dunlap, Jeannine (George) Armele and Susan Knapp all of Jamestown, Debra Purdy of Texas; and Barbara (Neil) Lindberg of Georgia; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Booth of South Carolina.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Williams; a son, Kenneth Williams; stepfather, Fred Booth, who helped raise her; and two sisters, Beverly Town and Sylvia Updike.
Friends will be received from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, immediately followed by a graveside service at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care.
