1942-2025
Robert Allen Crossley Sr., 83, of Panama, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 19, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late William and Mary Stebbins Crossley.
Robert had attended Panama Central School. He had worked as a Union Carpenter for North Atlantic State Carpenters out of Olean, NY. In earlier years, he had worked for National Worster Mills in Falconer and several other factories over the years. He also enjoyed providing taxi services for the Amish over the years.
He enjoyed carpentry, watching TV, hunting, word searches, and spending time with family.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Anna Mae Warner Crossley, whom he married July 1, 1962, three sons, Robert A (Deanna) Crossley Jr., Kenneth E (Sandy) Crossley, and Terry L (Heather) Crossley, three granddaughters, Kathryn N (Max) Byers, Hailey E (Grayson) Crossley, and Hanna R (Zachary) Crossley, one great grandson, Lewis K Byers, a sister-in-law, Patricia Crossley, a brother-in-law, Raymond Crissman, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur A Crossley and William A Crossley, and one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Crissman.
The family would like to express how grateful they are to everyone on the Chautauqua Hospice team. A special thank you to Julie, Sara, Laurie, Krista, and Chaplain Cathy for their exceptional care. Thanks also to Michelle for the Sunday mornings.
At Robert’s request, there will be no public services held. A private graveside service will be held at the Panama Greenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
