Jeanette F. Tuller

Jeanette F. “Jan” Tuller, 85, of Aldren Avenue, Jamestown, formerly of Frewsburg, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on March 18, 1940 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late George W. and Lillian F. Hanson Rice.

Jan was a 1958 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

In earlier years, she was employed at the former family restaurant Rio, the Zion Lutheran Preschool, and the Frewsburg Post Office. She was employed at MRC starting in 1979 retiring in 2008.

In her younger years, Jan enjoyed bowling, golfing and riding her motorcycle. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, watching and feeding the birds and sitting outdoors by her family pond. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting birdhouses with pictures of birds, flowers and wildlife, which she loved to share with her family and friends.

Jan really enjoyed football season and watching the Buffalo Bills.

Jan loved her children and was a big part of her grandchildren’s lives. When they were younger, she taught them all about nature as they took walks through the woods and around the pond. She showed each of them how to bait a hook, catch and release a fish and how to build many things out of wood. As they grew up, she was one of their biggest supporters and proud of their accomplishments. She was loved dearly and will be missed by many.

Jan is survived by her son Mark (Jennifer) Tuller of Frewsburg; three grandchildren: Shawn (Jennifer Oakes) Tuller of Titusville, PA, Jordin (Tyler) Brown of Kennedy, Sierra Tuller of Frewsburg; seven great-grandchildren: Cameron, Ben, Michael, Allyson, Isla, Gianni, River; a brother and sister-in-law John (Alice) Rice of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Steven Tuller; a sister Joanne Cooper; and a brother James Rice.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
