James C. Larson

James C. Larson, 38, of Busti, died Sunday Sept. 14, 2025, in Corry, PA, the result of a motorcycle accident.

He was born Aug. 17, 1987, in Jamestown, a son of Theresa “Terrie” Paloncy Larson and the late Daniel Larson.

A 2006 graduate of Panama Central School, Jim has always been a very hard worker from the very young age of 14. He worked with his cousin Levi Mitchener in construction. He also worked for many different companies and in many different fields in the area. He even worked milking cows for a couple of local farmers to make some extra money. Some of his most recent jobs included owning and operating his own business Big Horn Trucking. He was previously employed by Busti Lime Service, R. Patti Construction, Dirt Worx and most recently McCandless Well Drilling as an excavator operator. Wherever he worked, he took great pride and worked very hard.

Jim loved riding his Harley but what he loved most of all was spending time on the porch with his family and friends telling stories.

Jim’s boys were his world. He was a loving dad who took his boys camping, target shooting and frogging. He was a former member of Busti Volunteer Fire Department, and he loved riding his motorcycle.

Surviving besides his mother of Busti are two sons Conway and Hans Larson both at home, former wife and beloved friend Amy Larson of Lakewood; sisters Nicole (Mike) Weaver of Panama and Katie (Scott) Weilacher of Busti; nieces Ashlynn and Norah Weaver of Panama and Peyton Weilacher of Busti; a nephew Ethan Weilacher of Busti; his maternal grandmother Sylvia Proctor of Jamestown and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents Floyd Proctor, Frank Paloncy and Jim and Hesper Larson and an Aunt Rebecca Paloncy.

The funeral will be held at 2 pm Friday in Busti Church of God.

Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service in the church.

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Christian Academy or Busti Volunteer Fire Department.
