Hope Melonie Vebber

Following graduation from Falconer High School in 1959, Melonie attended New York State College at Mooresville for nursing, where she completed internship work at Cortland Memorial Hospital.

Melonie proudly spent her adult years raising her boys while she remained a loyal Penn State football fan.

She leaves behind her sons, Steven (Janis) Phillips, Michael (Cindy) Phillips, and Christopher (Brenda) Phillips; her 12 grandchildren, Garrett (Abbey) Phillips, Elise (Kahl) Counts, Clayton (Nicolette) Phillips, Courtney (Cody) Mason, Nicole Thompson, Kristy Phillips, Joey (Lili-ana) Saccone, Cassie (Mikeal) Almekinder, Samantha Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Katie Phillips, and Raychel (Nick) Millard; her great grandchildren, Piper and Sadie Phillips, Arturo Counts, Fern and Faelyn Phillips, Adeline, Eliza, and Isla Mason, Grant and Amelia Thompson, Ranier, Vito, and Emily Saccone, Hailee, Hunter, Hadleigh, and Harlan Almekinder, Dakota and Alyssa Kellogg, Keagan McMurray, Adam Bartlett, and Channing Brutcher ; her half-brother, Lance (Jennifer) Johnson; her niece, Stephanie Johnson; as well as her lifelong best friend, Polly Girts.

Besides her parents, Melonie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wallace Vebber, whom she married November 3, 1978 and who passed away May 10, 2025; as well as her great-granddaughter who was a twin, Maddison Brutcher, who passed away in 2020.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
