David Parinella

David Parinella, 69, of Jamestown, died Thursday Sept. 11, 2025, in his home.

A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born October 24, 1955, in Jamestown, a son of the late Samuel and Angeline “Jill” LaBarbera Parinella.

He was a graduate of Jamestown high School.

Dave was a butcher for most of his career having worked at Tops Friendly Markets and Raymond Meats. He built many relationships as he tended bar at Miley’s and The Alibi.

He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, member of Alpha Kappa Fraternity and umpired softball for many years.

Dave had an enormous passion for the game of baseball. He loved playing baseball as a kid and softball as an adult. In addition, throughout his lifetime he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Whether it was analyzing the game, watching it on television or traveling to a Yankee game with his family, Dave was a textbook definition of a diehard Yankee fan. He also enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships he found at OTB over the years.

Surviving are two sons Kellen Parinella and Daiman (Cheryl) Parinella both of Jamestown; five grandchildren; Reese, Evan, Owen and Elliana Parinella and Brielle Pratton; siblings Samuel Parinella, Robert “Fudge” (Debbie) Parinella and Christine (Clark) Falconer all of Jamestown and Carol Parinella and Kathy Parinella both of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Tony and Cy Parinella and sisters in law Diane Parinella and Betty Parinella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday in St. James Catholic Church.

Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
