Terry C. Pangborn

Terry C. Pangborn, 79, of Jamestown, NY passed away peacefully on Aug. 28, 2025, surrounded by his family. Terry was born on Sept. 9, 1945 to Inez and Chester Pangborn. He grew up in Falconer, NY and graduated from Falconer High School in 1963. Upon completing high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Following his military service, Terry obtained a bachelor’s degree from Fredonia State College and an M.S. degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University. Terry was employed at Monofrax in Falconer, NY as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for 20 years. He then worked at Heritage Christian Services as the Director of MIS and Purchasing until he retired. In his retirement years, he worked part-time as an auditor for Jamestown Public Schools.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Berg Pangborn, to whom he was married for almost 57 years. They were married on Sept. 14, 1968. He is also survived by two daughters, Jeannine (Mark) Picard of Rochester, NY and Kristin (Jake) Emley of Frewsburg, NY. Also surviving are five grandchildren Alec Emley, Jenna DePonceau, Aaron Picard, Meagan Picard, and Sarah Picard along with two devoted sisters, Cindy Rogowski and Nancy Stevenson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Inez Pangborn.

Terry was an active community member, serving on the boards of the Jamestown Teachers’ Federal Credit Union and the Chautauqua Blind Association. He assisted people with financial counseling through Crown Financial Services, and he donated his time to the United Way, preparing taxes for underserved community members. In his later years, he relied on his faith in his savior, Jesus Christ, to guide and direct his life. He often donated his time to help others in need. After retirement, he worked alongside his brother-in-law, Wendell Berg, on many construction projects. Terry was a life-long member of the Jamestown YMCA where he developed many friendships in his pursuit of fitness. He is remembered for his love of sports and was an avid Bills fan and a huge supporter of Falconer football and wrestling. His love for his family was strong and evident in all he did to encourage and be supportive.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Lind Funeral Home on 805 W. Third St. in Jamestown, NY. Calling hours will be at 10 am prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western New York Chapter or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakewood, NY.
