Ronald E. “Chief” Saxton

Ronald E. “Chief” Saxton, 79, of 2413 Fardink Rd., Ashville, passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 3, 2025 in his home. A career-long area bus driver, Ron also had a lifelong, active membership with the Ashville Fire Department.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ashville Fire Hall, 5338 Stow Rd., Ashville. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home, and for one prior to the service at the Fire Hall Friday. A complete obituary will be published in the Wednesday Post Journal.
