The memorial service for Marleen Donelson Nelson, 83, of Bemus Point, will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, in Zion Covenant Church. Friends will be received in the church from 11 am to noon Saturday just prior to the service.
Marleen was a 1958 graduate of Frewsburg Central School. She went on to WCA Hospital School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. She worked at Buffalo Children’s Hospital and Jamestown General Hospital and volunteered as nurse at Camp Mission Meadows for several years. She and her husband also operated a successful Shaklee Products business.
Marleen is survived by her husband Gordon Nelson of Bemus Point, whom she married Sept. 29, 1962; five daughters Kirsten (Jay) Cheney, Sara (James) Foley, Jessica Nelson, Erica (Shane) Daniels and Annika (Lukas) McKnight; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter Charlotte Foley; and a brother Conrad (Jennifer) Donelson.
