John P. Mescall

Following graduation from high school, John spent his working years at Niagara Therapy, Crawford Furniture in shipping and receiving as well as trucking, and at Sam’s Club.

His love for the outdoors will be forever remembered by John’s family. Being out in the woods, whether it was hunting or camping, brought John great joy. He also spent endless hours fishing.

Proud of his Irish heritage, John loved to talk, telling story after story. Albeit a firm guide for his children, he taught how to love unconditionally and remained fully present always.

A sports fan, John enjoyed watching many a football game.

John will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet, whom he married July 13, 1985; his sons, John Phillip Mescall and Jacob Mescall; his brothers, Dennis Mescall and Matt Mescall; his sisters, Johanna Klinker and Melissa Brown; his grandchildren and a great-grandchild; as well as many nieces, and nephews.

The memorial service for John will be at 11 am on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Kerzee will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 10-11am Saturday, Sept. 20 at Lind’s.
