Janet Irene Seaholm Rogers, 83, of Longwood, Florida, passed away peacefully on Aug. 10, 2025. Janet was born July 25, 1942 in Jamestown, New York to Erick and Dorothy (Lathrop) Seaholm. Janet grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1961. She met the love of her life, Harry William Rogers Jr., in New Jersey and they married on March 7, 1964. Together they built a family while following Harry in his military career.
Janet leaves behind their children, two sons and a daughter; Harry (Sage) Rogers III, and Kathryn (Michael) van Zwieten; and Brent Rogers. Also survived by nine grandchildren along with three great-grandchildren. Surviving in Jamestown are her brothers, Richard (Laura) Seaholm; Terry Seaholm; and her sister Sandra (Joseph) Iuculano.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her parents Erick and Dorothy Seaholm.
A strong willed and independent woman, Janet was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She worked as a waitress and clerk in her younger years but was primarily dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. Her family is very grateful for a lifetime of cherished memories.
She will be remembered by her family always for her love, her kindness, and her strength of character.
A memorial service was held on Aug. 23, 2025 attended by her friends and family in Florida.
