Gregory W. Klawon

Gregory W. Klawon, 78, formerly of 44 Broadhead Ave., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025 at Warren Manor. A Jamestown native, he was born Jan. 30, 1947, a son of the late William and Sarah Kaye Klawon.

Greg graduated from Jamestown High School in 1965 and was a Vietnam Army veteran serving from 1966 to 1968. He was later employed for many years by Hope’s Windows.

He enjoyed bowling and roller & ice skating and was a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills and NewYork Mets.

Surviving are four children: Jason (Lynda) Klawon of Carrboro, NC, Sara (Eric) Corey ofGreenhurst, Gregory (Melissa) Klawon II of Cartersville, GA and Matthew Klawon of Rome,GA; seven grandchildren: Anna Prieto, Josephine Corey, Avery, Henley and Baylor Klawon,Holden Petrie, and Hagen Klawon; as well as a sister, Kathy Kamry of Fredonia and brother,Jeffrey Klawon of Arizona.

Greg’s family wishes to thank the caregivers of Hospice of Warren and staff of Warren Manor for all their care.

Following Greg’s wishes, a private family celebration will be held, and visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
