Beulah May Davis

Beulah was born on Aug. 28, 1944, in Webster Springs, WV, the daughter of the late William B. (Jack) and Edna L. Miller. Beulah married Richard Davis on June 26, 1976, until his death on Feb. 23rd, 2005. Beulah especially loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, fishing, attending gospel concerts, going to church and worshiping the Lord every chance she could, spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She always made herself available at any time of the day or night to pray for anyone that needed prayer. She was one of a kind!

Beulah attended Champion Church of God for the past 10 years and prior to that was a member of the First Assembly of God, Warren, PA.

Remaining to cherish Beulah’s memories are her children, William H. and Debbie Mattson of Frewsburg, NY, Betty Hicks and Troy Tobias of Sinclairville, NY, Thomas and Aimee Mattson of Jamestown, NY, Lisa and Jason Horrocks of Cortland, OH and Emmy and Dallas Horrocks of Cortland, OH. Also, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Beulah in death are her husband, Richard Davis, son, Timothy Mattson and parents, William B. and Edna Miller.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 15th, 2025, at 12 noon. Funeral service at 1 p.m., at Freay Funeral Home, in Mayville (139 S. Erie St., Mayville, NY 14757). The Reverend Dennie Land will officiate. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery.
