Ward Leo Hallenbeck

Ward was a US Navy veteran. Before his retirement, he was highway superintendent for the Village of Celeron. He was also commander of the Herman Kent post #777 legion from years 1996-1999.

In addition to his parent, he was proceeded in death by son Trevor Hallenbeck, two daughters, Terresa Berlund and Sheri Murdock; a brother, Ellis Hallenbeck; and a sister, Rita Wells.

Ward is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy Lane Hallenbeck; a son Michael Hallenbeck (Jessica), a daughter, Jennifer McMillan (Dallas); two sisters, Carresse Kuhlmann (Richard) and Mary Hallenbeck (Terry). Several grandkids, great grandkids and a great-great grandchild

In lieu of flowers, donations can go to High lonesome Therapeutic Equestrian Center (highlonesomestables.org) or Valley River Humane Society (valleyriverhumanesociety.org)

A celebration of life will be held at the Celeron legion Pavillion Aug.10th from 1:00-4:00pm.

He will be interred at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
