Theresa J. Carlson

She was born May 31, 1952 in Dunkirk, NY the daughter of the late Anthony and Grace Decastro DeJoseph.

Theresa was a graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Business College. She enjoyed arts and crafts at the nursing home; in earlier years she was a member of Lake Erie Beagle Dog Club and loved attending special events.

She is survived by her husband Wayne G. Carlson of Jamestown whom she married Aug. 25, 1973 at St. Johns church in Jamestown; a son Matthew (Tracey) Carlson of Colorado; a daughter Jennifer(Shawn) Downey of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren: Lyra and Axton Carlson, Jacob & Grace Downey; a nephew Steven (Shelia) of Jamestown; Niece’s Kerrin (David) Moffit of Jamestown, Theresa Jackson of Jamestown.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Natalie; brother-in-law’s, John W. Carlson,Reynold Carlson.

A private burial will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

A short celebration of life will be held Saturday (Aug. 2, 2025) at 3:00 p.m. in Heritage Park and Rehab Nursing Facility.

Friends will be received from 2pm-5pm in Heritage Park and Rehab Skilled Nursing.

Memorials may be donated to The Heritage Park Activities Center.
