Sheila Faye Brown, 74, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by her loving family.
Sheila was born on July 17, 1950, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Harold K. and Harriet Iona Knapp Brown.
Sheila graduated from Southwestern High School in 1968. She worked at different department stores throughout the years and retired from the cafe at Jamestown Community College.
Sheila was a member of the Celoron Moose Lodge #2587 and Celoron American Legion Herman Kent Post 777. Her family was her main priority, and she enjoyed raising her children camping on Lake Erie and annual visits to Williamsport to camp with extended family members. In later years she enjoyed camping at Geneva on the Lake and going on wine tours while there. She had a big heart, and all the stray cats seemed to know where she lived. They would show up and she would feed them and then she would end up keeping them. She enjoyed going for car rides with her fiancé Rick. Sheila enjoyed anything Michael Bublé listening to his music, his guest appearance shows, and Christmas specials.
In addition to her parents, Sheila is preceded in death by her son: Brandon J. McClintock (Dec. 10, 1987) and her sister: Cynthia L. “Cindy” Brown (Nov. 9, 2022) and her niece: Andrea R. Stam (Sept. 10, 2024).
Sheila is survived by two daughters: Erin (John) Lobb and Sara McClintock all of Frewsburg, N.Y., her sister: Sharon K. Stam of Celoron, N.Y., her niece: Katie A. Stam of Jamestown, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Brandon R. Allen of Lakewood, N.Y., Mason Lobb and MacKenzie Lobb both of Frewsburg, N.Y. and fiance Rick Ecklund of Jamestown, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, N.Y. or to a charity of one’s choice.
A Celebration of Sheila’s life will be held at Celoron Moose Club on Thursday, July 17th at 6:00 PM a meal and drinks will be provided.
Sheila will be laid to rest with her son Brandon at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Lakewood, N.Y.
