Robert W. Cooper

Robert W. Cooper (Coop) of Falconer, NY was born July, 17, 1939 and passed away Feb. 22, 2025 at age 85. He was the son of the late Warren O. Cooper and Aileen (Budd) Cooper . He was a lifelong resident of Falconer and graduated from Falconer High School in 1957. In his younger years he was employed by Jamestown Plywood Company, Precision Tops and Willcare. In 1994 he earned “The Caregiver of the Year” award for Chautauqua County. Finally later on he retired from The Resource Center. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed gun shows. He loved hunting and shooting at his camp. When he wasn’t in the woods he would build and refinish things made out of wood. He loved stock car races and fireworks. He liked watching all the old western movies and was a history buff. He loved to read. He enjoyed The Post Journal, Pennysaver and magazines. He loved to go see his grandkids sporting events and trap shooting events. He left behind many who loved him including his long time friend’s children: Shawn, Dustin, Kaleb and Jordan as he lovingly referred to as”my grand kids” and treated them as such. He was a wonderful mentor to them in many ways. He was preceded in death by his parents. At his wishes there will be no viewing or service. He has a gravesite at Pine Hill Cemetery to visit as a memorial.
