Robert J. “Bob” Verbosky

Robert J. “Bob” Verbosky, 72, of Bemus Point, died Monday July 14, 2025, in UPMC Hamot, Erie.

He was born Apr. 28, 1953, in New Kensington, PA, a son of the late George and Blanche Dziondziak Verbosky.

He was a 1971 graduate of Sheffield High School.

For many years Bob worked for Quality Markets from bag boy to vice-president of merchandising. He went on to work for AD Bidell, Lance Crackers and then owned and operated VNV Catering.

He was a member of Bemus Point Methodist Church where he used his cooking talents preparing meals for Thursday night dinners, harvest dinners and the youth group.

Bob enjoyed cooking for everyone but more than anything he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife Susan Clark, whom he married Aug. 26, 1972; three children Heather (Shawn) Nolan-Caskey, Jennifer (Dean) Vaillancourt and Bradley (Christina) Verbosky all of Bemus Point; nine grandchildren Howard (Katrina) Nolan, Brody (Keyanna) Nolan, Meghann Nolan, Daren Vaillencourt, Erin Nolan, Jacob Vaillancourt, Sean Verbosky, Ethan Verbosky, and Julia Verbosky; four step grandchildren Brianna Caskey, Hunter (Rafay) Caskey, Alyssa Caskey and Jenna Caskey plus 6 great grandchildren; two sisters Patricia Van Damia of Youngsville and Joyce Pollock of Sheffield and a brother William (Marla) Verbosky of Sheffield.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sue Jerman and a son in law Patrick Nolan.

The funeral will be held at 3 pm Thursday in Bemus Point Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 PM Thursday in the church.
