Mary “Byrd” Ledebur
Mary “Byrd” Ledebur, 73, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Star Hospice House in Lakewood following a relatively short illness. She was born Sept. 9, 1951 in Warren, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Ethel Hamilton Ledebur. She received her degree in social work from SUNY Fredonia and was employed as a social worker at Lutheran Social Services for many years. Following her early retirement Byrd spent many happy years RV traveling and spending winters in Panama City Beach, Fla. with her partner of 35 years, Janet Lilli.
After Janet’s passing in 2011, Byrd found much support and many friendships at Sneakers and the Jamestown Eagles Club. She enjoyed her road trips, wine tours and her many lunches with her SOTRC friends in Warren.
She is survived by those many friends she met along her journeys who will no doubt always remember her laugh and her Peace signs.
