Lawrence “Larry” King Sr.

Lawrence “Larry” King Sr.

Lawrence “Larry” King Sr., of Jamestown, NY, lost his battle with cancer and passed away on July 3rd, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on Oct. 1, 1961, in Niagara Falls, Larry spent his youth and early adult years there before relocating to Jamestown, where he built a life and home for his family.

In early 1983, Larry met Cathy and the two were married and shared 42 years together. Larry was a proud and loving father to their two children, Larry Jr. and Christina, and Papa to Emma and Vincent King, and Jack Breen.

Larry was an enthusiastic lover of life. Growing up, he developed a passion for playing music, enjoyed attending concerts, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan–interests he carried with him throughout his life.

As a proud businessman, Larry opened Lorenzo’s in Jamestown, where his larger-than-life personality and delicious pizza made him a beloved figure in the community. His warmth and humor made an impression on everyone he met.

Larry was also known for his strong work ethic. He spent 27 years working for Hope’s Windows, where he worked his way up and retired as the Superintendent of Manufacturing. Throughout his career, Larry cultivated lasting friendships and became an integral part of the company, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and camaraderie.

Larry was also a lover of sports cars, owning several throughout his life. He enjoyed taking spontaneous Sunday drives with his daughter, a simple pleasure that was part of his adventurous spirit. Larry also loved concerts with his children and wife, having friends over to jam to music in the backyard gazebo, and attending Sabres and Bills games.

In addition to his love for cars, music and sports, Larry had a passion for travel. He cherished the time spent with his family, particularly during their summers in Bethany Beach, Delaware, Vermont, Saratoga Springs, Maine, and many other special places. These trips were a chance for him to create lasting memories with his loved ones, always savoring the moments and enjoying the beauty of each destination.

Larry will be remembered for his love of adventure, humor, and the friendships he forged along the way. He lived his life fully, with passion, joy, and a genuine love for those around him.

He is survived by his children, Larry King Jr. (Helena King) and Christina Breen; and many friends and family who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine King. Larry will rest in peace knowing the Buffalo Bills Franchise is heading in the right direction behind the pill slinging, hurdling, MVP, known in the King house as “Joshy.”

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to place a bet on their favorite horse and to make a pizza to share with friends.
