Jonathan R. “Pryme Time” Jones

A tough shell on the outside, Jon had a soft, caring inside for which he will be remembered.

Jon proudly worked nearly 18 years at Cummins Engine, most recently as a cell leader. His popularity was rooted in the deep friendships he made, truly embracing his work tribe as family.

Much the same, he was a big family man, loving time spent with his children and grandchildren. Jon would do anything for anyone without hesitation.

In his free time, Jon adored cuddling his husky and scrolling through TikToks. More than anything, he was a diehard Atlanta sports fan. An avid sports guy, Jon coached baseball, including teams with his daughter and nephew on the roster; further, he never missed watching an Atlanta Braves and/or Falcons game. The focus on sports even bled into video games, where his excitement stayed with athletic-natured games.

Jon’s caring soul will be missed by his wife, Ashley Pangborn Jones; his children, Terrance “TJ” (Abbi Settle) Pangborn, Alexis Jones, and Devyn Stoll; his grandchildren, Claudia Krause, Storm Krause, and Nova Pangborn; his mother, Julia Jones; his sisters, Jessica “Kelly” Knepp, Corinna Gonzalez, Danielle Willsie, and Melanie (Curtis) Farmery; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; his step-mom, Cathy Pangborn; his step-dad, William Burch; his dog, Princess; as well as his grand cats, Simba and Nina.

Besides his father, Randy E. Pangborn, Jon was preceded in death by his in-laws, Gordon Pangborn, Sr. and Susan Shafer; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life for Jon will be announced by the family in the upcoming weeks.
