Thomas Swanson

He was born on July 12, 1957, in Warren, PA, to the late Gerald Swanson and Doris Swanson Gage.

Tom was a 1975 graduate of Eisenhower High School and attended Williamsport Community College. A skilled craftsman and carpenter, he owned and operated Swanson Carpentry for 43 years. Tom loved being in his shop or out in the woods, looking after his trees. A humble and quiet man, he was known as a man of peace with no hard edges. He loved being surrounded by family and friends and cared deeply for many.

Surviving is his wife Elizabeth “Robin” Troxell Swanson whom he married on December 22, 1979; his children: Christy (Ryan) Ruhe, Evan (Rebecca Kuzminkski) Swanson, and Ethan (Gabi) Perez Swanson; grandchildren: Bennett Ruhe, Finnegan Ruhe, Hunter Swartwood, and Freya Swanson; his siblings: Laura (Rick) Golden, Mitzie (Kermit Dunn) Marti, Randy Swanson, and Susan (Jim) Vitez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved stepfather Clair Gage, brothers Gary Gage and Gordon Swanson, and infant nephew, Andrew Gage.

The funeral will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Wiltsie Community Church with the Rev. Todd Venman officiating.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, June 16th, at the Lind Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Busti Cemetery in Busti, NY.
