Raymond F. “Fred” Clark, 87, of Riverside Rd, Kiantone, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital.
Fred, as he was known, was born April 26, 1938 to Raymond F. Clark, Sr. and Elizabeth Layman Clark.
He was a 1956 graduate of Frewsburg Central School.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Swanson Clark (2018), son David Clark (1977), and two sisters Marge Baker and Myrna Golden.
He is survived by his brother Dale Clark, several nieces and nephews, and longtime companion, Freda J. Farnsworth.
Fred worked as an ironworker in Erie, PA installing windows and as an independent trucker for Crossett in Warren, PA.
In his earlier years, he was passionate about racing, starting at the former Rock and Roll in Frewsburg, then at Stateline, and finally a champion at Eriez Speedway with the #9.
Fred took over the farm on Riverside Road in 2001 with Barbara. They enjoyed their farming retirement, often travelling in their RV. Fred also was quite competitive with his team in horseshoes.
With Barbara, they restored a 1953 Ford tractor winning several area awards for Best of Show.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be held from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at American Legion Samuel Derby Post 556, Frewsburg. Burial will be Sunset Hill Cemetery.
