Dennis R. Eggleston

A kind and gentle soul, Denny graduated from Southwestern High School and attended meat cutting school in Toledo, OH. Amongst positions at Super Duper and Quality Markets, Denny also owned and operated his own meat cutting business, Smokehouse, in Lakewood, NY.

Denny remained a wonderful person, husband, and father. He adored traveling, especially trips to the beach. Playing cards, with an occasional trip to the casino, entertained Dennis’ days.

His cats were his constant companions. Cookie and Buddy were forever by his side, caring for him each in their own ways.

Though his suffering is over, Denny will be dearly missed by his wife of 35 years, Beverly Hollis Eggleston; his children, Linda Lewis and Keith (Danielle) Eggleston; his step children, Kevin Whitman, Wayne (Becky) Whitman, and Robert (Kelly) Whitman; his grandchildren, Shaylyn, Skylar, and Spencer Lewis, and Taylor Eggleston; his step grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin Whitman; his siblings, Nancy Lamphear and Kenneth (Barbara) Eggleston; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his grandson, Austin Eggleston; his daughter-in-law, Mary Eggleston; and his brother-in-law, Jim Lamphear.

In keeping with Denny’s wishes no services or visitation will be observed. A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
