Dennis L. Williams

Dennis L. “Denny” Williams, 82, of Jamestown, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Elderwood Healthcare and Rehab, Cheektowaga, NY.

He was born on October 28, 1942 in Jamestown, a son of the late Ralph R. and Ruth E. Wilson Williams.

Denny was a graduate of Youngsville High School and served in the Army National Guard.

He was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and held numerous positions on the church council. He was also a member of the Frewsburg Lions Club where he held the position of treasurer.

Denny owned and operated a Sears, Roebuck & Co. store in Warren, Pa, for many years. He later retired as a kitchen designer from Jamestown Kitchen & Bath.

He enjoyed softball, bowling, and golf and was an avid supporter of Frewsburg Athletics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. Lindholme Williams, who passed away on December 2, 2020; a son, Kevin S. Williams; a granddaughter, Shaylynne Nichole Oberg; and a brother, Duane Williams.

Denny is survived by his son Randall (Mary Jo) Williams and daughter Shari (Shawn Campbell) Williams, both of Williamsville; eight grandchildren: Lynnsey Oberg, Payton (Nicole) Oberg, Carolyn Campbell, Connor Williams, Cameron Williams, Hayley Mildenberger, Christian Williams, David Campbell; two great-grandsons: Levi and Graham Fulls; siblings: Ron (Cindy) Williams, Donna Rutsky, Richard (Patricia) Williams, Diane Williams, Carl (Darlyne) Williams, John (Candy) Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg. Pastor Philip Roushey will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

Friends will be received for one hour prior (from 10-11 am) to the service on Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 45 Falconer St., Frewsburg, NY 14738 or the Frewsburg Lions Club.
