Cynthia Jean Locey Miraglia, 78, of Lakewood, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, at UPMC Chautauqua after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family and at peace, ready to join our Heavenly Father.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1946, in Dunkirk, N.Y, the daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude Cave Locey.

Cindy was a 1965 graduate of Brocton High School. She continued her education at Fredonia State College. Her love of art and drama never faded, enjoying the opportunity to direct several productions of various musicals at Panama Central School.

Cindy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren/ great grandchildren, watching Saturday morning cartoons (with her best friend Max) and soap operas (with her daughter) during the week, reading mystery romance novels, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She attended Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church (at one time running a food bank for the community) and was a member of St. James Holy Apostles Parish.

Surviving is her husband, Joseph Miraglia whom she met in the summer of 1966 at “The Castle” while he was playing steel guitar on stage and married Jan. 28, 1967; her brother Dan Locey (Renee); her four children Pete Miraglia (Kristen) of Florida, Rick Miraglia (Sarah) of Syracuse, Peggy Miraglia (Jim Saxton) of Ashville, and Chris Miraglia (Stephanie) of Celoron; her grandchildren; Lindsey, Brandon, India, Alec, Bethany, Kyle, Avery, Brody; great-grandchildren Maizie and Louis; and her best dog friend Max.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the Lind Funeral Home.

Friends will be received Wednesday, June 11, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

There will be a celebration of life immediately following the service on Thursday at the Lakewood American Legion where all are welcomed.

Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
