Alyce F. “Pixie” Barton

A lifelong area resident, she was born Oct. 4, 1947 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Eugene Williams and Alice Olson Howard.

Pixie was a graduate of Falconer High School and was employed by First National Bank and prior to retirement was employed by M & T Bank.

Pixie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Falconer and Falconer Kiwanis Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, swimming at the YMCA, and she was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 2007.

Surviving is her husband of 59 years, F. Michael Barton whom she married July 2, 1966 in First Baptist Church of Falconer; a daughter Brenda (Christopher) Langdon of Burnt Hills, NY; a son Jamie (Tiffany) Barton of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Eric Langdon, Kristen Langdon both of Saratoga, NY, Hayley Restivo of Rochester, NY, Matthew Barton of Jamestown; a sister: Valerie Pierce of Jamestown, 4 step-sisters: Kathleen Petersen of Fredonia, Theo Howard-Ames (Tom) of East Berne, NY, Clare Pike of Concord, NH, Johanna Howard-Purdy (Rich) of Portland, NY and her nephew Dale Pierce (Edward Harrell) of Huntersville, NC, and many step nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Michael “Mikey” Barton on June 21, 1970; her father Eugene Williams; her mother Alice Howard and step father John Howard.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 in the Falconer Funeral Home. Pastor Phil Pratt of First Baptist Church of Falconer will officiate. Inurnment will be in Allen Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be donated to the First Baptist Church in Falconer, NY.
